God wants you to enjoy life part 2: Wisdom in life

Hey Luvs,

The blessings of the Lord maketh one rich and it adds no sorrow with it (Proverbs 10:22).

In my previous post I talked about God wanting us to enjoy life! Yes He does. He came to give life and life abundently (John 10:10). The meaning of abundance is : quantity or plenty. He wants us to enjoy life to the fullest. However in order not to fall on the traps of the enemy or suffer unnecessarily you must apply wisdom.

Getting wisdom is the wisest thing you can do (Proverbs 4:7). So what is wisdom? Wisdom can be defined as the ability to judge correctly and follow the best course of action based on knowledge and understanding  (Lockyer 1103).

A lot of us Christians end up in unccesary stress or trouble because we do not apply wisdom when taking certain decisions in life. Because of lack of knowledge my people perish (Hosea 4:6). We need to start taking responsibility for our decisions in life. God gave us a measure of free will so when you use it and it does not work out don't…

Bible School: Understanding the use of punctuation& sentence structure

Hey Luvs

Praise God for a brand new day!

Today I will continue the series Bible study but we will look at punctuation and it's use in understanding the word.

When you read  the Bible you will see that it is divided into Books (Genesis to Revelation). Within these books are chapters and verses (usually in numbers).

Often when we read the Bible we tend to read without pausing or paying attention to where we are supposed to stop and start again. Or where we are supposed to meditate on what the word is saying.

For example we see the word Selah a lot. What does this mean? Selah is placed there for you to pause. This is often seen in the book of Psalms. Possibly due to the fact that most of Psalms are songs and when we are singing worship we must be able to let the words minister to us. So when you pause or stop and reflect on the words you gain a deeper understating.

Let's look at this text:

You will see that there are full stops (.), commas (,) semicolon (;)  and question marks (…

Bible school: How to read and Understand the Bible Effectively

Hey Luvs

Proverbs 4:7 "Wisdom is the principle thing and with all thy getting get understanding". Another version replaces "understanding" with "insight".

I am starting a series called Bible school. It's a collective piece on how I have learnt to read, study and assimilate what the Word of God says. As young or older people at times we struggle to pick up and read our bible and one of the biggest reasons is because we do not know where to begin from or even how to understand it! It is a big book but don't be afraid of it! We will explore practical ways for you to read and understand it. 1 Peter 2:2 " Like new born babies crave pure spiritual milk so that by it you may grow up in your salvation".

We can say a form of this "milk" is the word of God. Milk is given to children as nutrience in order that they grow strong and healthy, likewise the bible and the Word of God.

Ways to read the Bible

God wants you to enjoy life: Part 1

Hey Luvs,

Praise God from whom all blessing flow!

Have you ever wondered how you are meant to live life as a child of God? Have you ever thought about if God wants you to enjoy life? Have you ever believed that you are only meant to live a life full of struggles because you are a Christian?

Well today we are going to talk about this very topic. It's something that appears to be very controversial as people believe you must live a certain way  or struggle because you serve God. But as far as I am concerned this is not the truth or the case.

Believer's as children of the Creator He wants us to enjoy life to the fullest. The bible says 'the earth is the Lords and the fullness thereof' (psalm 24:1)'. God is a Kind and Loving God who ownes the earth and all good things in it. So why then would he not want you to access these good things?

When God created the heavens and the earth He created man and wanted man to have dominion over it and to enjoy what He has placed on t…

Remember: God loves you a call back to Him!

Hey Luvs,

The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases, His mercies never come to an end. They are new everymorning, new everymorning, Great is Thy Faithfulness oh Lord Great is Thy Faithfulness.

I have never experienced such love like I have done from the Lord. The Holy Spirit ministered to me one day about how much God loves His children. He loved us so much that He was able to come down from heaven, become flesh and die for our sins. He left the Holy Spirit on earth as a mediator, He fights invisible battles on our behalf daily.

The fact that you go out and come home safely is a testimony of His love for you!

Let's be real in this day and age who will die for you? Who is willing to sacrifice that much for you? His love is inmeasurable and everlasting. He loves you so much that He took time to create you and plan how you will begin and end. He loved you that much to provide earthly things for you for you to enjoy life abundently.

Just take a minute to reflect on your life I am su…

Faith in the times of trails: Believing God for the unbelievable

Good morning and Praise the Lord.
Bible says let everything that has breath Praise God!

Hey Luvs, so I am coming this morning to talk about a topic we all know very well about. Faith in the times of trails! I hope it encourages someone to hang on to God!

As I said in earlier posts I am a young lady who God has been with since before I was ever imagined. The enemy tried it from when I was in my mothers womb. My life has just been by the Grace of God and to God I give all the Glory. There are some people that face bigger trials and tribulations than others due to a number of reasons but through it all I have learnt to trust in Jesus. know God is funny. He took me through a wilderness where I had to come to the place of saying "it's God or nothing". I had to choose between believing and having faith when there was no possible way out or wallowing in self pity or even death. But praise be to God who will never allow me to be tested beyond what I can bear (1 Corinthians …

The ways of God (part 2): Finding out the Will of God

Hey Luvs,

Welcome to part 2 of what I call "the ways of God". I hope you have been blessed so far with the content of this blog!

In the previous post I talked about trusting God with your life.  Now we will look at how we can hear/obtain the plans of God for our lives. But the first and foremost thing is to walk with God. You need to have a relationship with God for you to be able to hear Him expressly. You must be able to be humble and trusting enough to surrender your life to God.

1) Through the word of God:

One of the ways to identify the will of God for your life is through the scriptures. Here are some examples:
Jeremiah 29:11: He knows the plans He has for you. Plans to prosper you.
Proverbs 3: 5-6: Trust in the Lord and commit all your ways to Him and He will make your paths straight.

God wants to prosper you in all you do on this earth. He gives the assurance in His word that His will is for His children to live abundantly and to live well. All good and wonderful thi…

The ways of God (part 1): Trusting God with your life !

Hey Luvs,

I pray you are all basking in the Goodness and Faithfulness of the Most High God!

Today I want to talk about a topic I have learnt over the past few years of my life. Trusting God with my life.

As mentioned in previous posts God is bigger than how we can ever imagin or think. Although we cannot physically see God we see His manifestation through His ways. I hope you are still following me  (Ha!).  Through our journey in life we expect things to go a certain way and for us to reach certain milestones in life. That is brilliant it shows that we are serious about life.

However as believers we are taught through scriptures that our lives are in the hands of God. Also that he has already predestined us before we were formed (Ephesians 1:11; Jeremiah 1:5). However the nature of man is to be impatient and we want things to go the way we want and when we want. But God has His own ways and timings.

Children of God, if we believe that the Creator of Heaven and Earth created us in His perfe…

God manifesting Himself to us: How we can quickly understand God

Hey Luvs,

I trust you are highly blessed and favoured today! It is a new day and another opportunity to thank God for His Faithfulness!

 (John 1:1, John 14:26)
During my journey as a child of God, one thing I have always asked the Lord to do is to reveal Himself to me. Don't laugh...but I used to believe that *poof* He will just appear or I will have chills all over my body, a mystic experience and some strange Holy Ghost Filled sensation and that would be my God. Yes, I really did believe this and I'm sure that there are other people in this world who do the same. However that was when I was a new born in Christ ( I say this because I am still a baby in Christ learning) and as I sat under great men and woman of God and studied His word I quickly came to the realisation that I was terribly wrong and there was something not quite right with my theological foundation!

You see we have something a very valuable tool as a Christian to use to catch a revelation about who God is. The Bi…

Prayer and complacency: The dangers of leading a complacent prayer life.

Thought for the day:

I attend a bible believing Church who's aim is to raise people by teaching the word of Faith! So.. we hold all night prayer vigils every last Friday of the month. This particular Friday the Holy Spirit ministered to me. Something very simple yet profound!

So this Friday (25/11/2016) whilst I was in church I found myself very tired. I had worked all week and I was exhausted! My Pastor had raised prayer points and I was praying however very sluggishly. However at a certain point the Holy Spirit ministered to me and told me that ''Elaine if only you knew the severity/seriousness/impact of certain prayers you would not be sluggish no matter how tired you are''. After this I found the strength to pray. Then I caught onto a revelation- we can become very complacent with our prayer life and so familiar with the things of God and forget the magnitude of certain spiritual acts!

When talking of complacency, we can become so used to our surroundings/the wa…

Introduction: God loves me and my pink!

Hi Guys,

Welcome, welcome, welcome! (Philippians 4:21)

So my name is Elaine. I am a woman on fire for God and I love the colour pink. A Deborah in my generation! I have been inspired by so many women of God and thought I would add my own two pence to those who are sharing daily inspirations about the Word of God!.

I am new to this ''blogging'' ''thing'' so please bear with me. My aim on this blog is to share my experiences of my Christian journey as well as share with you revelations that God has given me about His word! It is so important that as believers we have know the word of God for ourselves and allow the Holy Spirit to minister to us what God has said and what He is about to do. I want to be able by the Holy spirit inspire and encourage others to pursue God and His word. For others to become the best at what God wants them to be. For others to understand the Goodness of God and His faithfulness that is ever more.  I am a young lady who God has be…
